A Family Business
Ponto Cruz was created by Renato Cruz together with his parents, Susana and Joaquim. While Susana focuses on handmade artisan work, Joaquim takes care of the shop's administration and connects with suppliers.
"My parents are the soul of the shop. They are there every day welcoming people. They manage to convey the passion for that space and for what we do," says Renato.
Porto Roots
Being from Porto, it is a source of pride to have a shop in our own city. "Everything there was built by our own hands. We raised the walls ourselves and built the tables from pieces of wood, so everything truly has meaning."
The city inspires every choice we make, from the artisans we work with to the products we select for our store.
Craftsmanship & Quality
"We try to have as many handmade products by local artisans as possible because that is our greatest value. Portuguese artisans have always been our focus."
We maintain direct contact with the people we work with, and that is what defines us. We know everyone by name and have a very direct and honest relationship with our suppliers.
Slower than fashion. Quieter than tourism.
We do not chase trends and we do not stock a thousand things. Every shelf takes weeks to plan and an afternoon to undo. We think that is the right pace.
Our motto is simple: "To give a little bit of Portugal and Porto to the people who visit us." Every product we select tells a story of dedication, tradition, and authenticity.
We always look for Portuguese products, especially from Porto when possible, celebrating the best of our craftsmanship and traditions.
